Class of 2011: Now is the time to call and schedule your Senior Portraits! Because Calotype Photography is in such hot demand, we book completely up with children
and family portraits in the fall and winter months. That leaves summer open for seniors, and if you CALL NOW and book, we can guarantee an opening for you in our busy schedule.
FACT: Calotype will not accept more than 75 high school seniors PER YEAR.
In order for us to keep the integrity of our work, and to spend the artistic time necessary with our clients to make sure our portraits thrill them, Calotype cannot book seniors back-to-back and “run them through like cattle”. Our work must be perfect, and perfection cannot be rushed! We intentionally limit our bookings so you can always have us at our best.
FACT: By August, Calotype begins booking up FOR THE REST OF THE YEAR.

Sometimes seniors think they want “spring” pictures, but it doesn’t turn green in Missouri until at least the middle of April! Trees are bare, the grass is dead, and by the time the leaves start to bud enough to look decent in portraits, it’s too late to get finished portraits back by graduation. You’ll miss handing out portraits to your best friends while you’re still in school together, and there won’t be any wallets to mail out in your graduation announcements!
